EMR is seeking a reliable and experienced Security & Fire Officer to support our headquarters and operational sites across Camden, NJ. This role combines control room monitoring and active field patrols, offering a dynamic work environment applying your security knowledge and acumen.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor alarms and respond to calls from security and fire monitoring systems
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols at EMR headquarters and multiple sites throughout Camden, NJ
- Perform routine and random checks to ensure site safety, security, and fire prevention
- Monitor CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or hazards
- Respond to incidents, assess situations, and escalate appropriately
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed
- Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activity
- Support overall site safety and security operations
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years of security experience (industrial, logistics, or yard environments a plus)
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
- Clear communication and report-writing ability
- Comfortable using surveillance systems and basic technology
- Combination of indoor control room monitoring and outdoor patrols
- Regular patrols in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)
- Flexible rotating shift schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Required use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
- May include light physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, and lifting small items
- Consistent full-time hours (40 per week)
- Flexible shifts with advance scheduling (including evenings and weekends)
