Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Act as project manager for multiple software and application development initiatives.
- Clearly communicate project delivery frameworks and implement project standards within assigned teams.
- Plan and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
- Track progress, identify dependencies, and ensure the project team is aware of upcoming deadlines and deliverables.
- Effectively communicate delivery expectations, progress, and risks to team members and executive stakeholders.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess project status and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately across internal and vendor resources.
- Assess and manage the risk of schedule changes and help identify and implement mitigation strategies
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure dependent tasks are completed on time.
- Creates and maintains project plans and ensures effective financial forecasting and tracking
- Partner with cross-functional business and technology teams to confirm scope, resource alignment, and readiness.
- Review project work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Lead workgroup meetings, identifying action items and addressing blockers to maintain project momentum.
- Collaborate with an exceptional team of software developers, service reliability engineers, product owners, and IT engineers to deliver mission-critical initiatives.
- Create and maintain dashboards, roadmaps, and documentation to support project efforts and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining processes, streamlining workflows, and enhancing EPMO project maturity.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization, facilitating cross-functional discussions and driving consensus toward shared goals.
- Proven experience leading software application development and Agile delivery initiatives.
- Familiarity with defining system strategy, developing requirements, designing solutions, testing, training, and implementing under tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional methodologies (Waterfall, Prince2).
- Proficient in the use of Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on value-driven delivery.
- Tenacious, self-starter who thrives in understanding the details of complex, cross-functional projects and can effectively distill into actionable project plans.
- Curious, adaptable, and comfortable learning new systems and technologies quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience in enterprise project management).
- 5–7 years of experience in software project management.
- 5–7 years of experience in product line or software development environments.
- Proven success leading multiple strategic, complex projects simultaneously (scope, schedule, and budget).
- Prior experience in benefits administration or healthcare environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with managing complex scheduling workstreams in large enterprise settings.
