What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver and Mover Lead position at Empty the Nest?
Job Summary
Driver and mover for Empty The Nest who is able to work independently as a mover and driver and supervise movers as well as help them move items and work with packers which does involve packing items as well because we are a team. You will do some packing as well as being the lead mover and a driver. You must have experience as a lead and have a valid drivers license and experience driving a box truck.
We empty furniture and household items for clients, then deliver back to store and drivers and movers unload at warehouse. Ride to and from job sites in company vehicle. Experience necessary. PAY based on experience. MUST have your own vehicle to get to and from work. You must be able to drive our company vehicle and load/unload trucks. You must be able to drive truck and move furniture/boxes so lifting heavy items is essential. Flexibility is a must.
Drivers work with movers and packers to implement efficient process for moving furniture and help loading and unloading the truck. Must be able to work Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Ensure the highest quality services to our customers.
2. Drive and help move at job site and warehouse, including p/up, loading, unloading.
3. Load and unload truck
4. Helping movers move, packers pack, stacking furniture, boxes and items. (tetris style)
5. Communicate well.
6. Assist packers when needed packing and in moving items at site.
7. Able to work weekdays until job completion.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Must be reliable
2. Respond positively to direction from management
3. Observe safety and security procedures.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
1. Regularly required to stand and climb stairs
2. Occasionally required to wear OSHA approved mask and follow safety protocols.
3. Regularly perform heavy physical activity (approximately 50 pounds).
4. Exposure to adverse conditions.

Salary: $20-23 dependent on experience. Willing to pay more for supervisory experience too.
