Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper documentation of findings
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment effectively
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff regarding imaging results
- Utilize computer systems for documentation, scheduling, and reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and general computer applications
- Strong knowledge of office and administrative practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
Certifications: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
