Summary
The Support Services Technician is responsible for managing the systems involved in the processing of orders and delivery requests. This position will work closely with Empress Support Services Supervisors to complete the daily operations for the company's movement of goods and materials, general building maintenance, and logistical support of fleet and asset management. This position requires a basic knowledge of the tools and equipment commonly found in the Empress inventory. The Support Services Technician will assist with the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment are kept to Empress and Patient Care standards and are all current as applicable to DOH, and manufacturer standards, policies, and procedures that apply.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for sorting, organizing, packing, and delivering medical supplies at Empress North locations
- Responsible for restocking ambulances to meet NYS Part 800 and Empress standards while not in use
- Wash and clean the interior and exterior of Empress vehicles while not in use
- Fill and replace oxygen cylinders as needed
- Maintain oxygen cascade systems at Empress North locations to ensure safe operation
- Assist in the maintenance and general cleanliness of the Empress North Headquarters
- Assist in planning and execution of vehicle movement while not in use
- Facilitate acquisition of supplies from local vendors
- Responsible for the organization and inventory of medical related materials and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all Empress locations
- Communication of needs, repairs, issues, or requests for guidance using various forms including cell phone, computer programs, email, etc.
- 1 years volunteer or career EMS experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Kneel, crawl, and otherwise maneuver for the purpose of packing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment
- Stand or sit for extended periods of time
