Human Resources Manager – Fine Dining Restaurant Group | Los Angeles, CA
A well-established, renowned, high-end restaurant group headquartered in New York, known for exceptional food and outstanding hospitality, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to support its growing operations in the Los Angeles, California area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and taking ownership of the local HR function, looking for growth potential and enjoys partnering closely with a dynamic Corporate HR Team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day HR operations for this NEW location.
- Partner with restaurant leadership on employee relations, staffing, performance, engagement, and people-related matters.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and performance processes.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, practices, and employment matters.
- Ensure compliance with California employment laws and regulations.
- Implement and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and programs.
- Monitor employee engagement, turnover, and organizational needs.
- Partner with Corporate HR in New York on company-wide initiatives and HR programs.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within fine dining, luxury hospitality, or premium restaurant operations.
- Experience in an HR Manager, HRBP, Senior HR Generalist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR practices.
- Hands-on experience across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the local HR function.
- Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- HRIS and other HR technology experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
