Job Summary

EYPC is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHPs) and LMHP-Es to provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical supervision within our behavioral health programs.

Qualified professionals may include Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), eligible/resident professionals meeting applicable Virginia requirements, and other appropriately credentialed mental health professionals.

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, oversight, consultation, and guidance to assigned behavioral health professionals while helping ensure services are clinically appropriate, person-centered, properly documented, and consistent with applicable regulatory and organizational standards.

This is a contract position designed for clinicians who value flexibility while maintaining high standards of clinical care, documentation, supervision, and professional accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and reassessments in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and/or review Individual Service Plans (ISPs), Safety Plans, Suicide Risk Assessments (SRAs), and other required clinical documentation.
• Ensure assessments and treatment recommendations accurately reflect the individual's clinical presentation, needs, risks, strengths, and treatment goals.
• Evaluate individuals for safety concerns, including suicide and self-harm risk, and implement or recommend appropriate interventions.
• Provide clinical oversight and consultation for crisis situations and complex behavioral health cases.
• Provide scheduled clinical supervision to assigned QMHPs, QMHP-Ts, and other applicable behavioral health professionals.
• Conduct quality clinical supervision meetings and maintain required supervision documentation.
• Review and approve applicable assessments, ISPs, progress notes, supervision logs, and other clinical records.
• Support staff in strengthening clinical judgment, assessment skills, crisis intervention, treatment planning, documentation, and service delivery.
• Provide constructive clinical feedback, coaching, and professional development to assigned staff.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and members of the treatment team to develop clinically appropriate interventions and treatment plans.
• Coordinate and advocate for necessary behavioral health, medical, educational, social, and community services.
• Participate, when applicable, in Social Services meetings, school meetings, court-related appearances, treatment-team meetings, staff meetings, and other program activities.
• Promote positive relationships with community providers and identify appropriate community resources.
• Assist with staff training, workshops, and professional development related to behavioral health and clinical practice.
• Ensure services are therapeutically appropriate and support the effective use of authorized service hours.
• Maintain accurate, timely, professional, and confidential clinical documentation.
• Complete required CCS submissions and related clinical documentation when assigned.
• Perform other clinically appropriate duties as assigned.

Clinical Supervision & Leadership

Clinical Supervisors play an essential role in maintaining EYPC's standards of care and developing our behavioral health professionals.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing consistent clinical supervision to assigned staff.
• Reviewing complex and high-risk cases.
• Assisting staff with selecting appropriate clinical interventions.
• Reviewing documentation for quality, accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness.
• Strengthening staff competencies in assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Identifying training and professional-development needs.
• Maintaining required supervision records.
• Providing timely clinical consultation when staff encounter urgent or challenging situations.

Contract Compensation

This is a contract position. Compensation is based on the clinical service, credential level, and assigned responsibilities.

Initial Assessment Bundles

Each assessment bundle includes the required:

Assessment Individual Service Plan (ISP) Safety Plan Suicide Risk Assessment (SRA)

• LMHP: $250 per completed initial assessment bundle
• LMHP-E / CSAC-S: $200 per completed initial assessment bundle

Reassessment Bundles

Each reassessment bundle includes:

Reassessment ISP Safety Plan SRA

• LMHP: $150 per completed reassessment bundle
• LMHP-E: $150 per completed reassessment bundle

CCS Submission

• LMHP / LMHP-E: $50 for one hour for CCS submission

Clinical Supervision

• LMHP: $42.50–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience
• LMHP-E: $30.00 per hour

Compensation is based on completed and approved services/documentation in accordance with EYPC requirements and applicable Virginia behavioral health standards.

Required Education & Experience

Candidates must possess the education, clinical experience, registration, and/or licensure required for their applicable professional designation.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, behavioral health, or another qualifying clinical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia professional license, registration, or eligible status appropriate to the services being provided.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental health, emotional, behavioral, or related challenges preferred.
• Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments and developing individualized treatment/service plans.
• Experience with crisis intervention, suicide-risk assessment, safety planning, and behavioral health documentation.
• Clinical supervision experience strongly preferred for candidates providing supervision.

• Commitment to professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical practice.

Required Credentials

Depending on the services performed, candidates must possess and maintain applicable Virginia credentials, which may include:

• Active Virginia LMHP license or qualifying LMHP-E status
• LPC, LCSW, or other applicable professional credential
• CSAC-S credential when applicable
• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable driving record
• Current automobile insurance
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Required crisis-intervention training

Candidates must successfully complete all required criminal background, Child Protective Services (CPS), and other screenings applicable to the position.

Working Conditions

This position supports community-based behavioral health services and may require interaction with individuals and families experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric challenges.

The contractor must be comfortable providing clinical consultation during crisis situations and collaborating with staff, families, community providers, and other professionals.

Travel within the assigned service area may be required depending on assigned responsibilities.

Contract Position Expectations

Contractors are responsible for maintaining the professional licenses, registrations, credentials, certifications, insurance, and other qualifications required to perform their assigned services.

Assignments and service volume may vary based on program needs, client referrals, clinical supervision requirements, and authorized services.
