Empowering Women Out of Prison (EWOP) is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization with a mission to transform lives of incarcerated women in the state of Texas through entrepreneurship and leadership programming. EWOP inspires incarcerated women to become aware of their intrinsic worth and take ownership of the knowledge and tools required to transform their lives and reach their full potential.
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support organizational operations while engaging with volunteers and community partners. You will play a vital role in managing administrative tasks, coordinating volunteer activities, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and volunteers. Your energy, leadership, and exceptional communication skills will help drive our mission forward and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Manage volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts to build a strong, motivated volunteer team.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and activities to align with organizational needs and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, participation, and feedback using platforms such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge for data management.
- Assist with administrative duties including correspondence, calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
- Work with the Executive Director and leadership team to schedule and attend public speaking engagements and represent the organization at community events to promote volunteer opportunities and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development & Storytelling to oversee social media management to promote volunteer programs, share success stories, and increase community engagement.
- Supervise interns involved in social work or outreach programs, providing guidance and leadership to ensure effective program delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in working with and/or managing volunteers within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong proficiency in CRM database management and reporting purposes.
- Experience in recruitment, training & development programs, and social media management.
- Public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Background in community service is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and productively from home in a fast-paced environment, and work inside a correctional facility during events.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.45 per hour
