Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect, analyze, and document behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Conduct patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations, to determine appropriate treatment strategies
- Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that promotes skill development
- Maintain detailed medical records, documentation of patient progress, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational teams to facilitate consistent implementation of treatment plans across settings
- Assist in training and supervising behavior technicians while adhering to best practices in behavioral health and special education
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience in data collection, patient assessment, and medical documentation within a healthcare or educational setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and maintaining secure medical records
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, interdisciplinary teams, and community partners
- Ability to perform intake assessments and support diagnostic evaluations as part of the treatment process
