Position Summary
We’re hiring a Sr. Development Manager to lead software delivery across EmpowerID and EmpowerNow, our new AI-native identity fabric. This role is for a seasoned technical leader who combines engineering discipline, test automation, and AI-enhanced development practices. You’ll unify Development and QA under a secure, automated SDLC, and work closely with Architects, Product, and Security to drive maturity, quality, and velocity — without compromising innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Delivery Transformation
- Design and enforce a secure-by-design SDLC across development and QA
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing and security gates
- Standardize branching, merge, and release workflows
- Establish delivery metrics: regression rates, cycle time, code coverage, defect density
- Enable teams to ship quickly and safely across two platforms
QA Strategy & Test Automation
- Lead a unified QA strategy that emphasizes automation, consistency, and quality
- Implement shared frameworks for unit, integration, performance, and security testing
- Minimize regressions through test-first development culture
DevSecOps & Compliance Integration
- Integrate security scanning, threat modeling, and compliance tooling
- Ensure adherence to SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and secure coding best practices
- Partner with Security leadership to make compliance a built-in feature
AI-Enhanced Engineering
- Drive the adoption of AI tools for Dev & QA
- Build EmpowerNow with engineering maturity embedded from the start
- Champion AI-first workflows that enhance quality, velocity, and innovation
Release Planning & Predictability
- Establish formal release planning, gating, and change management
- Ensure features are scoped, tested, and production-ready before release
- Reduce unplanned work and fire drills
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the connective tissue between Dev, QA, Product, Security, and Architecture
- Align technical execution with roadmap and customer goals
- Lead by credibility and clarity, not hierarchy
Team Enablement & Knowledge Management
- Define standards for documentation, onboarding, and training
- Build processes that reduce knowledge silos and onboarding time
- Mentor team leads in modern delivery, secure coding, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required
- 10 years in software development, with 5 years leading engineering delivery
- Demonstrated success in building or transforming SDLC and delivery systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, test automation, DevOps, and software security
- Effective cross-functional collaborator, communicator, and leader
Preferred
- Experience in IAM, IGA, or compliance-driven software
- Familiarity with .NET, Python, AI tools, and agent-based development
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, OWASP, and secure DevSecOps principles
- Practical exposure to AI-enhanced coding and vibe development workflows
