About this Role:
The Intervention Specialist is a member of the Youth Clinical Team. The Care specialist is responsible for care coordination and implementation and development of the youth clients individualized mental health service plan .This is an hourly position with hours, and schedule established to complete required duties. Providing ongoing assessment of needs of children and families by developing and monitoring overall service delivery. Provide intervention and collaborate with therapists, medical staff to assist children and families in reaching mental health goals
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and solution focused therapeutic interventions for at risk youth in grades K-8
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and standards as well as established Empowered for Excellence policies.
- Collaborates within the Integrated care team approach to case management, ensuring that goals established by the client are carried out within time frame of treatment plan.
- Ensures complete and timely documentation in client record including progress notes, referrals, and releases of information. All Documentation must be completed within 48 hours of the service.
- Provide education and support to clients, family members and peers regarding behavioral health, symptom management and wellness. Provide Community Outreach to connect community needs and available resources with the agency
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and individual or group supervision as scheduled.
- Develops client-centered treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions specific to the therapeutic process.
- Provide individual evidenced based therapy and facilitate curriculum specific group activities to address needs and goals identified on the individual treatment plan.
- Review and follow policies and procedures of the agency.
- Maintain an approved set work schedule between the hours of 11am - 7:00 PM, with a ½ an hour lunch , based on the agency’s hours. Unless otherwise approved by Supervisor, however we are looking for Specialists who would be interested in working mid afternoon to evening schedule.
- Maintain accurate time records in ADP
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications:
1. Must complete trainings for status of QMHS to provide mental health services.
3. Must have demonstrated experience in healthcare, rehabilitative, or other behavioral health setting.
4. Active Driver’s license

1. Provide clinically appropriate services that address behavioral health concerns of youth clients
2. Maintain licensure(s) and certification(s)
3. Practice effective treatment models as directed by the agency
4. Work as part of multidisciplinary team

6. Possess a working knowledge of community resources and how to access them
7. Possess a working knowledge of child/adolescent development, cultural competency, behavioral health and substance use disorders/treatment and assessment.
Work location: In person
