Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teaching Artist to inspire creativity, foster learning, and bring arts education to diverse communities. As a Teaching Artist, you will deliver hands-on instruction across various artistic disciplines. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with learners of all ages. EMpowering them through the transformative power of the arts. We are a non-competitive dance studio and encourage our dancers with positivity and an "ALL are welcome" attitude.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction that promotes and nurtures individual creativity in classroom.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing positive behavior management strategies and fostering a respectful learning environment.
Requirements:
- Strong background in at least one artistic discipline such as, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, or Pom precision dance.
- Knowledge of early childhood education and preschool experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all backgrounds.
- Experience working with children/youth, and a familiarity with behavior/classroom management strategies is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively within a team environment and engaging community partners effectively.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
