Direct Support Professional – Empowered Care
Empowered Care is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with disabilities in living more independent, fulfilling lives. This position is specifically seeking coverage for Thursday and Friday shifts during the daytime into the afternoon. You’ll provide hands-on care, emotional support, and community engagement while promoting dignity, independence, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living tasks such as hygiene, meals, and medication support
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow individualized care plans
- Support community outings and meaningful activities
- Monitor and document client well-being
- Help with mobility and lifting when needed
Qualifications:
- Caregiving experience preferred, but not required
- CPR/First-Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to assist with lifting
