The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Technician with Vascular Scanning for Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) Workup (Temporal Artery Ultrasound) to join our clinical team. This role is unique, combining traditional vascular imaging with specialized musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) to assist our rheumatologists in the diagnosis and management of complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform high-quality Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) examinations of joints, tendons, and soft tissues to assist in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and other inflammatory conditions.

· Conduct vascular ultrasound specifically for the assessment of the temporal artery to aid in the diagnosis of Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA).

· Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure all imaging protocols meet industry standards.

· Document findings accurately and collaborate closely with rheumatologists to provide real-time diagnostic insights.

· Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their examination.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Eligibility for Vascular Ultrasound: Must be eligible or certified to perform vascular ultrasound, with a focus or willingness to be trained in temporal artery scanning.

· Experience: Previous experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound is preferred but not required. Specialized training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong sonography foundation.
