What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coach/Direct Support Professional position at Empower?
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
1. Assist developmentally disabled persons in achieving academic and vocational goals.
2. Perform daily tasks alongside members, modeling job skills and appropriate social behaviors.
3. Provide assistance in accessing community resources (i.e., making purchases, check cashing, and safety awareness)
4. Follow-up on implementation of Individual Service Plans.
5. Carry out all training and program data collection procedures as prescribed.
6. Act as liaison between community work sites and program administration.
7. Coordinate on a regular basis with other Staff, Senior Program Specialists, Program
Supervisor, Program Director, and Administrators.
8. Maintains a consistent positive attitude, which is imperative to the success of the program.
9. Ensure our clients present as normal a profile to the community as possible.
10. Act as consumer advocate to ensure the safety and well being of our clients.
11. Maintain a safe and dependable vehicle, valid drivers license and auto insurance.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Introductory Salary: $2400.00 plus car allowance per month.
After successfully completing 90-day probationary period, raise in salary, 40 hours accrued paid sick days and 30 hours vacation days annually. *8-12 paid holidays per year. Paid cell phone allowance $400 annually.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
