What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Planning Manager position at Empower Semiconductor?
The Operations Planning Manager is responsible to serve as the customer and sales interface for the demand plan and shipment information, develop a feasible operational plan, maintain ownership over the execution of the operational plan, achieve the objective of customer satisfaction, and minimize Empower liability and continuously improve the performance of the planning metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Sales/Marketing/Engineering and customer to develop a collaborative demand plan through properly executing the Demand Management Process with manufactures and suppliers for work order priorities; both short and long-term capacity plans
- Create a Master Schedule through resource analysis including material sizing, capacity sizing and inventory building
- Load Master Schedule into the Empower ERP system
- Execute on TSMC online and other suppliers’ systems
- Start wafers and monitor progress in wafer manufacture foundries such as TSMC
- Create and maintain a feasible production plan and closely work within the operations team to achieve successful execution of the plan
- Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvements with manufactures and suppliers by identifying cost savings opportunities in material usage variance and yield
- Assess adjustments to production plans, risk, capacity constraints, and escalate appropriately to management
- Develop revenue forecast and closely monitor the actual performance and drive for immediate corrective action and recovery plan in case there is a potential miss to the revenue target
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policies and rules
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5-8 years' Semiconductor Operations Planning experience
- TSMC Foundry experience
