Non-Sterile Compounding Lead 503A (1st shift)

Position Summary

The Non-Sterile Compounding Lead oversees compounding operations, ensuring compliance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards and production goals. This role provides leadership, ensures staff safety, and supports Empower’s mission to expand access to affordable, innovative medications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures staff have the tools, training, and equipment needed for effective, safe work, adhering to Personal Protective Equipment and USP standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes production tasks, providing leadership and motivation to maintain high productivity and quality.
• Compounds non-sterile preparations like creams, gels, and capsules, ensuring compliance with USP 795, USP 800, and the company’s Quality System.
• Maintains lab inventory, restocks supplies, prepares batch records, and collaborates with pharmacists to ensure efficient operations.
• Troubleshoots issues, addresses quality concerns, and supports safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Experience And Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years compounding experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
