Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ motor skills, cognitive abilities, sensory processing, and daily living activities (ADLs).
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with patients' goals and medical needs.
- Assist patients with activities such as functional play, self-regulation, dressing, grooming, feeding, and other essential daily tasks to promote independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to coordinate care.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients and caregivers for transitions.
- Work with individuals across various populations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment use.
- Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient support throughout their recovery or development process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification required by state or country regulations.
- Proven experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics or other care environments.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice principles.
- Experience assisting with discharge planning, and case management processes.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in settings like school facilities as well as outpatient clinics or home health environments.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients’ families or caregivers.
- Compassionate approach combined with a proactive attitude toward patient care and rehabilitation goals.

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
