About the Role
Empower Behavioral Health is seeking 20 full‑time Elementary Special Education Teachers to support Anchorage‑area schools for the 2026–2027 school year. These are in‑person roles serving students in Life Skills, Autism programs, and Resource settings across multiple elementary campuses.
We are gathering candidates now, and the district is interviewing over the next week.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with IEPs
- Teach in Life Skills, Autism, and Resource classrooms depending on assignment
- Deliver services through small‑group instruction, inclusion support, and individualized interventions
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Support a structured, positive, and student‑centered learning environment
