The Teacher Assistant supports the lead teachers in providing a positive and engaging learning environment for students at Ascension Academy. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
■ Greet and assist parents, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
■ Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
■ Manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
■ Maintain student records, including attendance, registration forms, and emergency contacts.
■ Assist with the registration and enrollment process.
■ Collect payments for tuition, fees, and programs.
■ Prepare reports, newsletters, and other documents.
■ Order and maintain office supplies.
■ Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.
■ Provide general administrative support to the director and other staff members.
Skills and Qualifications:
■ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
■ Strong organizational and time-management skills.
■ Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
