Job Title: Machinist

Position Summary:

The Machinist is responsible for fabricating and repairing precision aerospace component parts using a variety of machining and manufacturing methods. The incumbent operates CNC, Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), milling machines, lathes, and other related equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and production schedules. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, VTLs, mills, and lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
• Perform machining operations to tight tolerances in accordance with blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect parts to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy are met.
• Fabricate, repair, or modify parts as required using appropriate tools and machining techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work on various assignments as directed by leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Accurately document production activities, part measurements, and maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• Education/Training: Technical training or certification in machining (college, trade school, or program) required.
• Experience:
• • Minimum 2–3 years' experience operating machining equipment such as CNC, VTL, milling, or lathes (required).
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Skills and Abilities:
• • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
