🛡️ Quality Engineer

📋 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and support quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing and repair operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and other teams to drive quality, safety, and process improvements.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• ✈️ Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC, customer, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
• 📚 Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, processes, and documentation
• 🔍 Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and other problem-solving methodologies
• 📝 Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including AS9100 and AS9110 compliance
• 📊 Monitor and improve key quality metrics, including nonconformities, escapes, inspection findings, and corrective actions
• 🤝 Partner with Engineering and Operations to improve processes, develop new repair capabilities, and implement engineering changes
• 🚀 Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
• 🎓 Train and educate employees on quality standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices
• 🛠️ Identify opportunities to improve product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational performance
• 💡 Provide technical quality support and guidance to cross-functional teams
• 📈 Analyze quality data and trends to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement
• 🛡️ Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing and/or FAA Part 145 environment
• ✈️ Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, AS9100/AS9110 standards, and quality management systems
• 📖 Experience working with OEM technical publications and audit processes
• 💻 Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality analysis tools such as Minitab
• 🔎 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills
• 🤝 Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• 📋 Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and regulatory compliance
• 🚀 Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing and repair environment
• 🟢 Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
