AI-Enhanced ERPNext Implementation Coder

Location Requirement:
This position is based in Costa Mesa, California. Candidates must currently reside in or near Costa Mesa, CA to be considered. This role is not remote and requires regular on-site presence at our HQ.

We are a forward-thinking organization seeking to optimize our operations by implementing

ERPNext, an open-source ERP system built on the Frappe framework, using AI tools to

accelerate development and enhance functionality. We are looking for a skilled coder proficient

in leveraging AI tools to deploy and manage a secure, compliant ERPNext pilot project on AWS

infrastructure.

Job Summary

The AI-Enhanced ERPNext Implementation Coder will lead the deployment and customization

of ERPNext on AWS, utilizing AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to streamline coding, automate configurations, and optimize workflows. The role focuses on building inventory tracking, manufacturing, production forecasting, wage tracking, and accounting systems while ensuring SOC 2 compliance and robust security.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Assisted ERPNext Implementation:
  • Deploy ERPNext on AWS Linux EC2 instances as a pilot project, using AI tools to accelerate setup and customization.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants to generate, debug, and optimize Frappe framework code (Python, JavaScript) for workflows, forms, and reports.
• Inventory Management:
  • Configure ERPNext for real-time inventory tracking across multiple warehouses.
  • Use AI tools to automate inventory reconciliation scripts and optimize stock management logic.
• Manufacturing:
  • Set up Bills of Materials (BOMs) and sub-assemblies in ERPNext’s manufacturing module.
  • Apply AI-driven solutions to streamline BOM creation and production workflows.
• Production Forecasting:
  • Implement AI-powered forecasting models within ERPNext to predict production needs based on historical data and market trends.
  • Use AI tools to monitor and compare actual production against forecasts for improved accuracy.
• Wage Tracking:
  • Configure ERPNext’s HR/payroll module to track base pay and overtime.
  • Utilize AI to automate wage calculation scripts and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Accounting & SOC 2 Compliance:
  • Set up ERPNext’s accounting module for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Use AI tools to generate compliant financial reports and ensure SOC 2 alignment for data security and confidentiality.
• Security & Infrastructure:
  • Manage AWS IAM roles and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using AI-assisted configuration scripts.
  • Implement AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, leveraging AI to validate security configurations.
  • Set up automated backups with tested restore procedures, using AI to optimize backup schedules.
  • Configure AWS CloudWatch and GuardDuty for monitoring, with AI-driven anomaly detection scripts.
  • Maintain ERPNext audit logs for user actions and system changes, using AI to analyze logs for potential issues.
• Data Residency & Compliance:
  • Ensure data storage complies with GDPR/CPPA and SOC 2 requirements using AI tools to audit configurations.
  • Configure AWS regions for regulatory compliance with AI-assisted region selection logic.
• Change Management:
  • Implement Git-based configuration management for ERPNext and AWS, using AI tools to automate code reviews and version control.
  • Conduct code reviews, leveraging AI to identify bugs and suggest optimizations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of coding experience with ERP systems, preferably ERPNext or Frappe framework.
• Proven experience using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance development efficiency.
• Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, GuardDuty).
• Strong knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CPPA compliance requirements.
• Expertise in Python (Frappe backend) and JavaScript (Frappe frontend).
• Familiarity with Git-based change control and AI-assisted code review processes.
• Understanding of encryption standards (AES-256, TLS 1.3).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt AI-generated code to project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• ERPNext certification or prior implementation experience.
• Experience with AI-driven forecasting or data analysis tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Pandas).
• Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, and payroll processes.
• AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).
• Familiarity with AI-based security auditing or monitoring tools.
