A client of ours, a growing Geospatial & Land Surveying company based in Spring, TX, is seeking an Operations and HR Manager to support continued growth and operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in overseeing human resources, payroll, billing, and day-to-day operations while helping build scalable systems and a positive workplace culture.
This is a hands-on operations role in a technical services environment (surveying/engineering), not a corporate HR-only position.
Scope of work:
· HR Management
o Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and training of new employees.
§ Develop videos for onboarding and training.
o Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR standards and regulations, including OSHA.
o Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to enhance workplace efficiency and culture.
· Payroll and billing
o Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
o Prepare and issue client invoices according to specific client requirements and rates.
o Maintain records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Operational Oversight
o Develop and maintain inventory management systems to track supplies and equipment.
o Collaborate with management to establish and enforce operational policies and procedures.
o Anticipate operational needs and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
· Client coordination
o Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding invoicing and payment inquiries.
o Maintain strong relationships with clients by ensuring their invoicing needs are met accurately and promptly.
· Team Leadership
o Provide guidance and mentoring to staff; foster a collaborative work environment.
o Identify opportunities for departmental growth and expansion, preparing for future scalability.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, payroll, invoicing, and operations management, preferably in the geospatial, land surveying or construction industry.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Smartsheet; familiarity with HR software is a plus.
· Strong understanding of HR standards and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and drive initiatives.
Salary
· $80,000 per year with growth potential as the company expands.
