This is a direct hire leadership role owning procurement, sourcing, and inventory strategy across a multi-team function. In this role you will lead a cross-functional team through direct reports and set the strategy for purchasing, sourcing, and the operational teams that support the business. You will manage domestic and international supplier relationships and drive the numbers that matter most: fulfillment, inventory turns, and gross profit. Responsibilities:
- Direct purchasing and sourcing activities for domestic and international suppliers
- Oversee purchasing operations, including demand planning, purchase order management, freight coordination, and supplier communication
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, vendors, and key supply partners for timely, cost-effective product flow
- Develop procurement strategies that optimize inventory investment, supplier performance, and profitability
- Drive inventory planning that supports fulfillment goals while improving inventory turns
- Lead operational and sourcing support functions across the team
- Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that support leadership decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers and individual contributors across the function
Ideal Experience:
- 7 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or distribution leadership experience
- Experience managing purchasing and inventory functions within a distribution environment
- Experience with international supply chain coordination
- Proven leadership managing multiple functional teams
- Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred
