Warehouse Lead – Day Shift

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Lead to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Grand Rapids on Day Shift. This position is responsible for leading daily shipping and receiving operations while ensuring productivity, accuracy, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse.

Pay & Schedule

• $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
• Monday - Friday
• 9:00 AM - Done
• Overtime may be required based on workload

Essential Functions

• Lead and support picker/packer personnel to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time
• Communicate daily with warehouse leadership regarding concerns, issues, and workflow priorities
• Print and organize orders by priority and designated zones
• Train employees on proper picking, packing, and receiving procedures
• Delegate daily tasks to warehouse staff and follow up to ensure procedures are being followed
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shipping, receiving, and dock areas
• Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies and zero-stock issues
• Research pick errors and receiving exceptions as needed
• Work in all areas of warehouse operations including:
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • Shipping
  • Receiving
  • Dock operations
  • Inventory support
• Assist with unloading trucks and organizing incoming product on docks and racks
• Ensure equipment inspection checklists are completed daily
• Follow all company attendance, safety, and operational policies
• Report unsafe conditions immediately and help maintain a safety-focused environment
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers after training/certification
• Support other warehouse departments as needed
• Must have steel toe or composite work boots

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse experience required
• Leadership or warehouse lead experience preferred
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to become certified
• Basic computer skills helpful
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently
• Comfortable working on concrete floors and warehouse docks
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work in varying warehouse conditions
• Must have steel toe or composite work boots
