Our client is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships within a defined territory. This role is focused on achieving profitability and expanding market penetration by developing new accounts and providing tailored solutions to customers’ needs. Duties
- Promote and secure orders from both existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based sales approach.
- Present and demonstrate products and services, assisting customers in identifying the best solutions for their needs.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships within the assigned territory to generate new business.
- Conduct phone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to engage prospective and current customers.
- Research and qualify potential accounts to expand the customer base.
- Prepare effective proposals and quotations for customers.
- Resolve customer problems and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze market potential and customer value to prioritize opportunities.
- Provide management with reports on customer needs, challenges, competitive activity, and potential opportunities.
- Stay informed about product applications, market conditions, promotional trends, and competitor activities.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of sales or service experience in the agricultural industry.
- Post-secondary degree preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify customer solutions.
- Results-oriented, able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
