The Market Intelligence Manager serves as a strategic thought partner to the Individual Life & Financial Services (ILFS) business line, enabling the organization to anticipate market shifts and make informed decisions in a dynamic landscape. This role is responsible for generating deep, actionable insights across the life insurance, annuity, and long-term care sectors—covering competitive intelligence, regulatory developments, and evolving customer preferences. By synthesizing complex data into clear strategic guidance, this role will empower product innovation, marketing effectiveness, and enterprise-wide planning.
What you will do:
- Track and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the insurance sector
- Conduct competitor profiling and benchmarking across product offerings, pricing strategies, underwriting innovations, and distribution models
- Provide market sizing and segmentation analysis to support business growth initiatives
- Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Sales, and Compliance teams to align insights with business priorities
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations with actionable recommendations
- Manage external research vendors, data subscriptions, and industry partnerships
- Support strategic planning and innovation initiatives with timely intelligence
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field required.
- 5 years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, or research within the life insurance, financial services, or healthcare industries required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Highly collaborative, with the credibility to engage senior executives.
- Ability to creatively navigate complex scenarios and achieve strategic objectives.
Salary Band: 6B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
