Cleaner (PT)

Position Overview:

Employment Horizons Enterprises is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to cleaning floors, windows, tables, chairs, restrooms, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean, safe environment. 

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 5:00PM to 9:00PM. 

Location: Hanover Ave, Morristown, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain floors, windows, tables, chairs, restrooms, and equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste following safety protocols.
• Ensure all areas are sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Required Qualifications:

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
• Good physical stamina and tolerance for repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of proper and safe use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Prior janitorial experience is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The work environment is indoors and outdoors, with exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures depending on the area. The position involves frequent movement, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Required to talk or hear in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Cleaners must be able to work independently, maintain attention to detail, and follow established cleaning procedures in a timely manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate; however, there are occasional loud sounds.
