Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The role of SharePoint Specialist will support the redesign, organization, and governance of SharePoint Online sites used by various teams, focusing on improving site structure, workflows, permissions, and user experience to ensure consistency, compliance, and maintainability.
This is a full-time contract, on-site position based in Springfield, VA, paying $50.00-$60.00 per hour. The position involves working 40 hours per week, primarily Tuesday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Assess current SharePoint sites, libraries, permissions, and content organization.
- Develop and implement improved site architecture, navigation, and taxonomy.
- Create and configure document libraries, metadata, views, and retention settings.
- Build or refine workflows, forms, and automations using Power Automate.
- Establish governance standards for site ownership, permissions, and content lifecycle.
- Migrate and reorganize existing content with minimal user disruption.
- Provide light training, job aids, and handoff documentation.
- Coordinate with IT, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- SharePoint Online experience is required.
- Experience building out intranet sites using SharePoint.
- Proficiency with Power Automate; experience with Power Apps is a plus.
- Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive) knowledge.
- Certifications in SharePoint or Microsoft 365 are preferred.
- Basic understanding of governance and records management.
