Under the close supervision of the Office Manager or Section Manager, and in partnership with the management team, the EDS I serves as a key program consultant responsible for a wide range of analytical, administrative, and technical assignments that support the daily operations of the UI Center.
In this role, you will research, analyze, and interpret program data to identify trends, evaluate operational performance, and develop recommendations that improve efficiency and service delivery. You'll assist management in monitoring office performance through quality reviews, the Field Office Basic Evaluation System (FOBES), and other performance metrics while helping develop innovative tools and processes to track progress toward organizational goals.
The EDS I also plays an integral role in supporting business operations by assisting with budget tracking, benefits administration, Operating Expenses and Equipment (OE&E), procurement activities, facilities planning, health and safety initiatives, and special projects. You'll coordinate reports, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure operational priorities are achieved.
As a trusted resource for the management team, you'll provide guidance to staff on new procedures, assist with workload planning and scheduling using the UI Scheduling System and other workload distribution methods, support quality improvement initiatives, and may serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for departmental programs and special assignments. The position also coordinates determination schedules for UI interviewers and contributes to continuous improvement efforts across the UI Center.
