Job Description Summary The Library Assistant supports daily operations of the library by assisting patrons, organizing library materials and providing clerical support.
Required Qualifications - Associate's degree
- Previous experience in a library
- A minimum of one-year customer service experience or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of this position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry
- Assist in library programming and events
- Provide basic support for library computers, printers and other technology resources
- Shelve returned items, conduct regular shelf reading and assist with processing new materials
- Assist with patron overdues, notices and fines correspondence
- Assist at the Information Hub
