We are NOT a staffing or temp agency—our focus is on expert HR consulting and administrative solutions.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to serve as the primary HR advisor for multiple clients across diverse industries. You’ll provide strategic guidance and hands-on support for compliance, policy development, employee relations, and performance management. This role is primary onsite but will allow some remote flexibility after initial orientation period.Key Responsibilities· Advise clients on HR issues and implement programs (onboarding, benefits, leave management).· Develop and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures to ensure compliance.· Deliver training sessions and presentations for client teams.· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records using HRIS systems.· Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local legislation; advise clients on compliance requirements.· Build strong relationships with client executives and key personnel.· Conduct periodic HR compliance audits for clients to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.· Serve as a mediator for employee disputes and provide guidance on conflict resolution strategies.· Develop and analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) and present actionable insights to client leadership.· Document and track FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and ADA leaves of absence for client employees.· Assist clients with job descriptions, interview processes, and best practices for talent acquisition.· Design and implement performance appraisal systems tailored to client needs.· Create and update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect legislative changes and best practices.· Identify skill gaps and coordinate professional development programs for client employees.· Advise clients on minimizing HR-related risks, including wrongful termination and discrimination claims.· Support clients in leveraging HRIS systems for efficiency and compliance.· Partner with client executives to align HR strategies with business objectives.Qualifications· SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.· PHR or SHRM-CP required.· BS/BA in Business Administration or related field (preferred).· Previous experience with a PEO or ASO preferred.· Minimum 5 years in HR generalist or consulting roles.· Strong knowledge of federal, state, and municipal leave laws.· Proven ability to develop policies and deliver training.· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.· Highly organized and detail oriented.· Ability to work on-site in San Marcos, CA.Reports ToChief Operations OfficerHow to ApplyReady to join a team that values expertise and client success?
