The Employers Association of the NorthEast (EANE) is leading the search for 1st shift UPRIGHT FORKLIFT OPERATORS for J Polep National Convenience Distributors.
- FIRST SHIFT (10 – 12 hour shift) Begin work at 2AM or 4AM
- SECOND SHIFT (10-12 hour shift) Begin at 2PM

In this position, you will work in a warehouse setting.
Essential Job Functions for Upright Forklift Operator include but are not limited to:
· Loading and unloading products and materials
· Moving pallets stacked with products around the warehouse facility
· Identifying damaged products, materials, or equipment
· Stacking products in storage bays, following our inventory control procedures
· Piling empty pallets
· Removing machine attachments and waste materials from machinery as necessary and directed
· Examining products to verify conformance to our quality standards; report quality deficiencies
. Producing daily activity logs
. Executing assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
. Performing regular equipment check and maintenance including recharging battery, lubricating equipment and other upkeep as necessary and assigned
. Cleaning work area and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds as necessary
. Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
Qualifications for Upright Forklift Operator position :
· High School Diploma or GED preferred
· Able to read and interpret safety rules, order forms, procedure manuals, etc.
· Capable of applying concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
· Have the ability to lift and move 50 pounds frequently as well as standing, lifting, bending, turning, pivoting, and walking for long periods of time
. Have excellent hand-eye-foot coordination and depth perception, and good sense of balance
. Be able to assess weights, and judge distances and heights
· Experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
