Yard Driver – Immediate Openings
Pay: $30–$31 per hour
We are hiring 7 experienced Yard Drivers ASAP for immediate openings!
We are looking for dependable, safety-focused drivers with experience operating tractor-trailers and spotting/moving 53-foot trailers in busy or congested yard environments.
Pay & Shifts
Day Shift: $30.00/hour
Evening/Night Shift: $31.00/hour
Available shifts include:
- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 45-minute lunch break
Responsibilities
As a Yard Driver, you will:
- Operate a yard tractor to safely move loaded and empty 53-foot trailers.
- Spot and position trailers at designated dock doors.
- Shuttle loaded trailers to designated areas for OTR driver pickup.
- Follow instructions communicated through a two-way radio.
- Safely connect and disconnect trailers and operate fifth wheels, dollies, brakes, lights, and related trailer equipment.
- Inspect yard tractors and trailers for damage or equipment issues.
- Complete required work and equipment damage reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe truck and work area.
- Work closely and professionally with management and customer representatives.
Requirements
2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience required, including experience spotting trailers in congested areas.
Candidates must also:
- Have a valid Driver's License.
- Be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Be comfortable communicating over a two-way radio.
- Be able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to frequently climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers.
- Have a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
CDL may be required depending on the terminal/location.
