Lead Restoration Technician
Location: Ronkonkoma, NY (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation
- $41,600 – $62,400 annually
- Approx. $20.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on a full-time schedule
- Overtime and on-call work are expected as part of the restoration industry (I will confirm these with doug)
Schedule
- Typical M-F schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Schedule may vary based on project demands and emergency response
- On-call availability is required
- Final schedule to be confirmed with the client
Role OverviewThis is a hands-on Lead Restoration Technician role responsible for leading and executing restoration projects involving fire, water, mold, and asbestos. The position requires both technical expertise and the ability to lead by example in the field.This is not a purely supervisory role — candidates must be comfortable performing physical work alongside their team while maintaining quality, safety, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restoration projects from start to finish
- Perform hands-on work including cleaning, demolition, and reconstruction
- Handle fire and water damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement
- Operate restoration equipment (water extraction, carpet cleaning, etc.)
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal team members
- Document job progress and complete detailed reports
- Train and mentor junior technicians on proper techniques and safety
- Respond to emergency and on-call jobs as required
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restoration or related construction fields
- Strong background in:
- Fire restoration
- Water damage repair
- Mold remediation
- Asbestos abatement
- English speaking
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Knowledge of hazardous material safety protocols
- Proven leadership ability in a field-based environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage shifting priorities
- Industry certifications preferred but not required:
- IICRC WRT / ASD
- NYS Mold Abatement License
- Related environmental or restoration certifications
