The Grounds Laborer is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of parks, recreational facilities, public spaces, commercial properties, and residential grounds. This position performs a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure all assigned areas are well-maintained, attractive, and safe for public use.

- Operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment, including zero-turn mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, edgers, and other hand tools.
- Mow and maintain parks, green spaces, athletic fields, commercial properties, residential lots, and other assigned grounds.
- Trim, edge, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas.
- Remove trash, leaves, branches, and other debris from parks, sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas.
- Assist with planting, mulching, watering, and general landscape upkeep.
- Perform basic irrigation support and minor maintenance repairs as needed.
- Clean and maintain all assigned equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other grounds maintenance duties as assigned.
- **Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience** preferred.
- **Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.**
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and humidity.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, stand, walk, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
