- Make an Impact! The Diabetes Education Coordinator is responsible for all outpatient diabetes education within the Endocrinology Department. This includes individual and group instruction for all persons with diabetes including Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM), Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) and Gestational Diabetes (GDM). This education provides persons with diabetes the skill set needed to safely self-manage their individual diabetes. The Diabetes Education Coordinator educates in accordance with the provider’s diagnoses and requirements of ADCES (Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists) and Main Line Health. The Diabetes Education Coordinator functions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate diabetes care plans.

Position: Diabetes Education Coordinator
Shift: 24 hours per week- Monday through Friday, Thursday shift is required. No weekends; no holidays
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in related field required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare field required.
Master's Degree Preferred.BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR Policy
Licensures/Certifications:
Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a Professional Nurse required. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist upon hire or obtained within 24 months of hire.
Salary : $77,958 - $120,806
