Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM start time (Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required.)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and dependable Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation and recycling operations. This position is responsible for scheduling drivers, assigning pickup and delivery routes, communicating with customers, and ensuring efficient and timely service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of consistent attendance and punctuality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for daily pickup and delivery routes.
• Coordinate recycling pickups, container deliveries, and service requests.
• Monitor driver locations and adjust routes as needed to improve efficiency.
• Communicate with customers regarding pickup schedules, delays, and service updates.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, work orders, and route documentation.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Respond to schedule changes and urgent service requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed safely and on schedule.
• Enter and update customer and route information accurately.
• Perform other administrative and dispatch-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of dispatch, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in the recycling, waste management, transportation, or trucking industry is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and dispatch or routing software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
