EFP is seeking an Accounting Clerk for the City of Azusa. You will play a vital role in managing high-volume transaction processing within an advanced ERP system, primarily supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll departments. This position demands accuracy and efficiency to maintain financial records, support reporting, and ensure smooth payment processing with moderate independence. Occasional involvement with other finance functions presents opportunities for broader skill application.
Responsibilities
- Enter data accurately into the accounting system processing over 200 transactions daily
- Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documentation
- Support financial reporting activities as needed
- Track expenses and ensure timely payment processing
- File and archive accounting documents systematically
- Collaborate with Payroll department to support payroll processing
- Occasionally assist with other finance functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Schedule subject to change.
- 2 years of accounting experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
- SAP Business One is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- $21 and up DOI
