1st Shift 6:00am-2:30pm
Monday-Friday
$21.98/hr
JOB PURPOSE:
The Supplier Quality Rework Technician is responsible for inspecting and reworking purchased
finished engine components to print or deviation conformance.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Supplier Quality Rework Technician will:
- inspect engine components and rework non-conforming components to print or deviation conformance.
- Have a high level of attention to detail and be quality oriented.
- Ability to prioritize based on production demand is critical to minimize the disruption to operations.
Rework methods vary and can include but are not limited to:
- Visual inspection
- Borescope inspection
- De-rusting via use of chemicals, de-burring, grinding, cleaning via hot wash and/or use of chemicals, use of power tools, etc.
- The individual will be required to follow written and verbal instructions from the Supplier Quality Team.
- The incumbent must be team oriented, self-motivated and be flexible to working weekends and overtime when needed.
- Incumbent will also be responsible for housekeeping and equipment upkeep of the rework areas.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum entry level requires a high school diploma and two years of training or related experience in
one of the following disciplines: Quality Inspection, Manufacturing, or similar field.
Required:
Safety focused.
Experience with lifting, craning, and pallet jacks.
Basic computer proficiency.
Self-starter. Able to work independently and under the direction of supplier quality staff.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs in a safe manner
