Program Overview
Ready to step out of the classroom and into real-world nursing ? Emplify Health by Gundersen invites you to apply for our Annual Nurse Internship Program — a 10-week, paid summer experience designed to sharpen your clinical skills and boost your confidence .
Whether you're fresh off a clinical rotation or still learning how to juggle care plans and sleep schedules, this internship meets you where you are — and helps you grow from there.
As a Nurse Intern, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced nurses and healthcare professionals across a variety of settings, from med/surg units to specialty departments and outpatient clinics . You’ll gain hands-on experience in clinical judgment, interdisciplinary communication, and critical thinking — all while gaining a competitive edge for your final semester(s) and future career.
Bonus: Exceptional interns may be considered for continued employment, and potential RN offers after graduation.
✅ Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Summer 2026 Nurse Internship, applicants must:
- Be on track to graduate from a baccalaureate or associate nursing program by December 2026 or May 2027
- Hold at least one of the following active certifications/licenses:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B)
- Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Have a current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include hands-on training)
- Be available to work 30–36 hours per week , across all shifts (Days, PMs, Nights), including weekends and holidays
