Job Description:
Responsible for care of patients under the supervision of providers and in collaboration with registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Assist patient-centered care through an efficient flow of rooming patients, taking vitals, gathering and informing the provider with a detailed patient history and documentation of patient information.
Other duties to include preparing exam rooms, prepping injections, scheduling appointments as needed, along with chart prep and other duties.
- Possess skills needed to deliver patient-centered care as members of an interdisciplinary team, emphasizing evidence-based practice, quality improvement approaches, healthcare informatics and professionalism.
This LAT/LPN/MA will be a valued team member and be accountable for safe and compassionate care for all patients and their family members in a clinical setting. Position requires strong communication skills and must be one who enjoys working in a team environment.
- This position will support the hand orthopedic surgeons within the Orthopedic Clinic and within Titletown Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
- This position will require travel that is dependent on outreach clinic responsibilities, but Titletown will be the majority of the work location.
Qualifications:
- If Athletic Trainer, WI Athletic Trainer license and Board of Certification (BOC) certified required.
If LPN, WI LPN license required.
If Medical Assistant, American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification required within 3 months of hire. If not successful in passing AAMA exam first attempt, will allow additional testing period(s) to obtain (not to exceed an additional 3 months post hire). Basic computer/keyboarding skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, team player, ability to multi-task, organized, independent and sensitive to patient needs required.
