Empire Wingz in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for one cashier to join our 39 person strong team. We are located on 8032 Scenic Hwy. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Processing Payments: Handling cash, credit cards, mobile payments, Door dash and gift cards.
• Operating POS Systems: Using Point of Sale software to scan barcodes or manually enter item codes.
• Issuing Change & Receipts: Ensuring customers receive the correct change and a record of their purchase.
• Station Upkeep: Keeping the checkout area and front of house clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, approachable demeanor and the ability to remain professional under pressure.
• Attention to Detail: Precision is vital when handling money and verifying IDs for restricted items.
• Reliability: Since the store cannot open or function without a cashier, punctuality and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
• Conflict Resolution: The ability to stay calm and de-escalate situations when a customer is frustrated or an item doesn't scan correctly.
• Prior Experience: While not always required, previous experience in retail, customer service, or volunteer work can give you an edge.
