What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at Empire Waterproofing and Painting, LLC.?
The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, physically capable, and willing to learn specialized construction trades. Prior construction experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist foremen and field crews with daily construction activities
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Perform demolition, surface preparation, grinding, cleaning, and waterproofing prep work
- Assist with waterproofing systems, sealants, coatings, painting, and concrete repairs
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow OSHA safety procedures and company policies
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Help with material staging, masking, protection, and cleanup
- Work on ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and elevated surfaces when required
- Support project completion deadlines and daily production goals
Qualifications
- Construction labor experience preferred
- Waterproofing, painting, or concrete restoration experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in South Florida weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- OSHA certification is a plus (training available if needed)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
