We’re looking for an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team at Small Animal Hospital! This role combines hands-on technical skills with leadership responsibilities. You’ll mentor technicians and assistants, support veterinarians, and help maintain an efficient, positive, and high-quality hospital environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, train, and support the veterinary team
- Oversee daily workflow and uphold hospital protocols and safety standards
- Perform advanced RVT duties including anesthesia, dental care, radiology, lab work, and patient monitoring
- Handle controlled substances per regulations
- Ensure equipment, inventory, and records are maintained
- Provide compassionate client communication and education
What We’re Looking For
- Current RVT license (California) required
- 5 years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with IDEXX Neo and related systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced environment
