What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant II position at Empire Veterinary Clinic?
Looking for a capable and caring veterinary assistant. We are a one doctor practice focused on making that personal connection with our clients and patients. We do mainly dogs and cats, but will see the occasional sheep, goat, alpaca, and pocket pets. Our team is commited to helping animals to the best of our ability and we are looking for someone to join that team. We like to make that one on one connection with our pet parents to help strive for their best care.
Your job would be comprehensive, from wellness exams to emergency surgeries. You would be expected to room and assist in exams, fill medications, perform laboratory tests, and assist in surgeries and procedures. You would be expected to cross train in all positions, unless a liscense is required.
We are open Monday thru Fridays from 7:30 am to 6 pm. This position would be for full-time at 4 days of 10 hour shifts per week. Final pay rate offer is based on experience.
We are looking for someone with experience of at least 1 year as a veterinary assistant. We also require a high school diploma or equivalent. Our clients are very important to us, so good communication skills would be required.
