Machine Operator/Sheet Metal Fabricator

Basic Function

• Sheer, bend, spot weld sheet metal components and finished goods
• Run metal stamping presses as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate shears to cut sheet metal stock to specified dimensions according to job specifications.

·Perform spot welding operations to join sheet metal components, ensuring proper weld strength and placement.

Ensure quality standards are met to customer expectations and internal guidelines

· Provide for the fabrication of all finished goods and their sub-assemblies as accomplished by, but not limited to: wire stripping, crimping, soldering, polishing, cleaning, inspecting, assembling, testing and packing

· Support company in continual improvement initiatives.

· Regular attendance.

· Ability to get along in a team environment and follow all safety procedures.

· Other duties as assigned, including working in other departments when needed

· Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior manufacturing/assembly experience is preferred.

Language Skills

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written oral instructions.

Other Skills and Abilities

· Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

· Must be able to count accurately.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
