Empire Truck Sales, one of the largest Freightliner and Western Star heavy truck dealerships in the Southeast, is looking for a motivated, dependable individual with strong customer service skills and a strong work ethic to join our Parts Department as a Parts Sales Trainee.
This is a true training position designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the commercial truck industry. You will learn how the Parts Department operates from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience in customer service, inventory, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, parts delivery, and parts sales. As your knowledge develops, you will be trained toward advancement into a Parts Counter Sales position. No previous truck or parts experience is required.

What You'll Learn and Do
- Learn the different functions within the Parts Department and how they work together to support customers and the Service Department
- Assist retail customers while learning commercial truck parts sales and customer service
- Participate in training focused on commercial truck parts, systems, processes, and career development
- Maintain organized and professional front counter displays
- Load, unload, and verify inbound and outbound freight shipments
- Accurately stock, sort, and manage parts inventory
- Deliver parts to the Service Department and local customers
- Operate delivery vehicles for local parts delivery and pickup routes
- Process and ship parts using various carriers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and accurate warehouse environment
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record is required. This is a job requirement due to the regular operation of the company and delivery vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No previous commercial truck or parts experience is required. We will train the right person.
- Experience in customer service, retail, automotive, warehouse, distribution, or a similar environment can be helpful, but is not required
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn parts and inventory systems
- Ability to regularly lift and move parts and materials weighing up to 65 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work the position's scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as business needs require
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused, self-motivated, and ready to learn and grow
