BASIC FUNCTION:
Review and analyze applications submitted to the Tax Incentives Department for participation in various entertainment tax credit programs (e.g., Film Tax Credit Program, Digital Gaming tax credit program, Musical & Theatrical Tax credit programs). Assist Director and Assistant Director and Program Managers with business-related tasks including data analysis and data integrity initiatives.
WORK PERFORMED:
- Monitor and manage flow of applications submitted from entertainment industry production companies; applications are received for the Film Tax Credit Program; Post-Production Tax Credit Program; Commercial Tax Credit Program; Music and Theatrical Production Tax Credit Programs, and Digital Gaming tax Credit Program
- Review application materials for completeness and follow up with applications for missing information.
- Manage data using various program databases and ensure that project information is accurate in information management systems.
- Analyze data and summarize key data points for internal discussion.
- Run queries from the Film database to respond to and verify internal requests for data.
- Systematically reconcile program data using multiple sources
- Answer the Department’s main phone line, answering Program related questions and/or directing Applicants to the appropriate Program Manager
- Schedule and hold meetings with production accountants, producers and others.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level required: Associate degree or higher preferred in business, public administration, accounting, or another business-related field. Five years’ direct relevant experience can be substituted.
Relevant experience required: 2-3 years of administrative, customer service and project management experience within a corporate office environment.
Knowledge required: Proficient Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word; Database management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, and works independently. Familiarity with business, not-for-profit, and governmental agencies, and general knowledge of New York State’s geography and economies. Strong attention to detail and independent follow-through is highly important. Microsoft Access and MS Dynamics.
Salary : $64,000 - $68,000
